Since I had a multifile patch I invoked it on the folder generated by git send-email --format-patch ./scripts/get_maintainer.pl -f new_patch Reading the help usage it indicated you could run it on folders or directories. It would seem you have to run it on a per file basic though? I will be sure to correct this moving forward.
