Hi,
I am Using a Shuttle SN72P barboone PC with an AMD athlon 64 X2 6000+
CPU and 4 GB RAM . This machine has the Nforce 570 chipset .
one IDE DVD RW and three Sata disks . driven by the nv-sata driver.
I installed snv 81 on it two days ago and am now trying to virtinstall a
Paravirtualiesed
SNV81 machine.
I booted on the XVM kernel
I checked that the 4 xvm services is online.
I loaded the snv81 dvd iso onto a UFS filesystem ( /opt )
and I am trying to deploy the virtual machine on a ZFS filesystem.
Iam using this commandline structure,
virt-install -n solarisPV --paravirt -r 1024 \
--nographics -f /xvm/sol11pv.img -s 16 \
-l /opt/isos/solarisdvd.iso
When the virtinstall command is executed it starts well and boots in to the
virtual machine. and generates the diskimage. I answer all the networking
questions.
Then when its time to find the install media, the installer fails to find
an
emulated cd/dvd drive. Atttempts to do a network install over NFS also
fails.
this has worked on a previous release i tried ( B76)
Comments ?
