SNV76 worked fine on the same box built on ASUS P5B Deluxe.
After fresh install SNV81 in the same partition , where was SNV76,
all old data has been erased, Nvidia splash screen stops show up and Gnome
Desktop has unchangeable resolution 640x480.
Command :-
# svcs -a |grep gdm
reports disabled
At same time I have positive experience with SNV81 detection VC GeForce 8500
GT on ASUS P5K Premium based PC.
Just didn't yet get a chance to run :-
# svcs -a|grep gdm
on second box.
