I have a Thinkpad T30 as well, booting into non-xVM mode works, I get
the same result when trying to boot xVM.  It's obvious that this system
has no HVM support.  For xVM developers who don't have a Thinkpad T30,
they are typically 1.8GHz Mobile Intel Pentium IV's.  Also, about 4mb is
missing from my total of 768mb, doubtful it's shared video given such a
low amount, but alas the graphical installer doesn't work even with
764mb of ram.
