Which OS ? PV or HVM ? Since the installation process is dominated by I/O, what do the disk I/O stats in dom0 say ? Are the backend disks in the same type of filesystem (UFS, ZFS) ? Anything on a USB, like ISO images ? I too have an M5 and will try to duplicate your setup to see what I can figure out. So whatcha installin' ?
