I've tried to localize error and bfu'ed SNV91 DomU to SNV92 DomU at F8 Dom0. At SNV91 DomU:- Reinstalled fresh SUNWonbld before bfu # cd /usr/tmp # pkgrm SUNWonbld ( from b91) # /usr/sfw/bin/wget http://dlc.sun.com/osol/on/downloads/b92/SUNWonbld.i386.tar.bz2 # bunzip2< SUNWonbld.i386.tar.bz2 | tar xf - # pkgadd -d onbld SUNWonbld # /usr/sfw/bin/wget http://dlc.sun.com/osol/on/downloads/b92/on-bfu-nightly-osol-nd.i386.tar.bz2 # bunzip2 < on-bfu-nightly-osol-nd.i386.tar.bz2 | tar xf -
Tuned environment and ran:- # bfu /usr/tmp/archives-nightly-osol-nd/i386 bfu# acr bfu# reboot ********** Result:- ********** syncing file systems... done rebooting... [EMAIL PROTECTED] vm]# xm console SolarisPVM Configuring devices. Hostname: dhcppc22 Loading smf(5) service descriptions: 1/1 /dev/rdsk/c0d0s7 is clean Reading ZFS config: done. dhcppc22 console login: root Password: Last login: Sun Jun 22 11:52:46 on console Jun 22 13:13:48 dhcppc22 login: ROOT LOGIN /dev/console Sun Microsystems Inc. SunOS 5.11 snv_92 October 2007 bfu'ed from /usr/tmp/archives-nightly-osol-nd/i386 on 2008-06-22 Sun Microsystems Inc. SunOS 5.11 snv_90 January 2008 # svcs -x Empty output, hence i believe bfu is in a good shape. I still have a question . When xVM source gets uncompressed:- # /usr/sfw/bin/wget http://dlc.sun.com/osol/on/downloads/b92/xvm-src.tar.bz2 # bunzip2 < xvm-src.tar.bz2 | tar xf - and i get four hg-folders under working directory, how i am supposed to manage after this point to succeed with b92 at Dom0 ?
