On a freshly installed v40z with snv108, virt-install of snv101a as a para guest
fails this way :

# virt-install -n p101a -p --nographics -f /root/p101a.img -s 10 -r 2048 -l /root/nv101a.iso
Maybe that xend does not have enough permission to access disk image files under /root/p101a.img. Try to move disk image to some other places that can be accessed read/write by other uid (particularly, by xvm) and try again...
That indeed is the problem. Thanks Max.

Domain installation may not have been
successful. If it was, you can restart your domain
by running 'virsh start p101a'; otherwise, please
restart your installation.

To make it worse, after the failure msg, the shell [rlogin connection] hangs, and after a while it drops the connection. And the host is not even pingable from outside.
Console seems alright.

Reboot into i86pc bits didn't restore network connectivity; 2nd reboot into xpv fixed the
network connectivity.
I tried the cmd again, it failed with the same msg and again lost connnection.

Did anybody else see this? Or do you suggest just one more install?
TIA,
surya
