Actually, all builds on and after 0.9.12-pre9 activates automatically, and it no longer needs /GPLPV. There a switch /NOGPLPV which is used to DISABLE the drivers instead. It's usability on opensolaris dom0s has also improved. While the version you're using (0.9.11) crashed the domU, in the current usable version (in 0.9.12-pre13) the block device driver works correctly, but the network driver hasn't work yet. David Edmondson mentioned some changes will go to snv_109 that MIGHT make GPLPV work. So in short, the only working Windows PV drivers for Opensolaris dom0 right now is Sun's driver.
