Hello all,

I've got a new box running Xen with Debian Linux (Lenny) running in the dom0. Then I have OpenSolaris 2008.11 running in the domU. (For the record, I've done an 'pkg image-update' to 2009.06 as well. I think.) I purchased an Intel 82572EI Gigabit Ethernet controller with the expectation of passing it directly to OpenSolaris. Which I can't seem to do. :-(

I have successfully hidden the PCI card with the following added to the module options in Grub:

/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.26-2-xen-amd64 root=/dev/hdb1 ro console=tty0 pciback.permissive pciback.hide=(01:00.0)

I've even added the device to my Xen domU config like so:

        pci = ['01:00.0']

I can see the device added to the domU when running 'xm list --long', but when I run 'prtconf -pv' in OpenSolaris there are no indications the PCI card exists.

Am I running the wrong command in OpenSolaris to verify the card is attached? Is the PCI passthrough simply not supported from Xen to the OpenSolaris kernel? What gives?

Any help is appreciated.

Cheers,
Jason
