Merge branch 'remove-rt-signals'

The real-time signal support (i.e. with handlers running in primary
mode) will be re-implemented from scratch on top of the MAYDAY
infrastructure.
Since there is no public/user interface currently exploiting the
legacy RT signal infrastructure, we may remove the latter now to ease
further forward merges within the -forge tree.
