Jan, what about a mix of both worlds. SVN makes things easy to maintain and go back in history. And the wiki makes it easy for anybody to contribute, but it is a bit more of an effort to maintain a set project of files. I suggest what about placing the example code in the svn repository and a submissions and changes page or email address on the website. So an administrator can just take the submissions and changes and book it into svn. Then you can still control the inflow of work but it is easy to download, and use for everybody.
