I'm fine with it. Mind bundling all the snippets to one complete patch so that people don't have to collect the pieces?
Attached. Keep in mind that although it's a simple patch I, personally, haven't tested it (even compilation-wise). Anyone who would like to give it a try (Mathias?) is wellcome.
