Hi,

I'm having a bit of trouble setting the core clock under xenomai. We're
currently evaluating an imx6 based SOM for our new board. The core
clock should run at 528MHz, but starts and stays at 396MHz (its lowest
frequency), which is the expected behaviour according to the
manufacturer. We would like it to run at its nominal speed.

Now, according to the manufacturer, i'm supposed to use cpufreq and the
performance governor to set it to its maximum speed. However, the
xenomai docs strongly advise against using any form of CONFIG_CPU_FREQ.

* are these warning only for x86, and CONFIG_CPU_FREQ can be safely
enabled on arm ?
* is there a xenomai (cobalt) specific way to set the core clock which
i would not be aware of ?

Best regards,

Julien
