Schema Validation Help

Hello,   I am validating a XML document against a small sized schema file.   First, it takes over five minutes to validate the XML file coming in. the file is made of four element each with no attributes.   Second, The parser keeps giving me exceptions of really odd characters or null space( " ). I am note quite sure if this is a bug or not...   I know the schema and XML files are well formed and valid XML files form building them with XMLSPY 4.01b and I have also ran the parser example program and it executes fine.   Can anyone provide a suggestion?...   Thanks, Ross
