You might find it helpful to examine the Xerces 1.2.0 port to VxWorks done
by CERN
http://cern.ch/xdaq
Follow the Software link on this site. You can easily see which Xerces
files were modified by looking for the .bck file extensions.
You may also be interested in Xerces' IDOM API for its reduced footprint and
execution speed as you are targeting an embedded application.
