Why should he? He has an application that requires 1 byte packing on structures. When he changed the byte packing, Xerces-C++ was giving him grief. He was asking for help with Xerces-C++ and not his Visual C++ code. Even though the solution was Visual C++ specific he still has the right to post it here.
