Hello.

I found the Xerces Open Source package very impressive and useful for some projects I'm
involved in.

Yet, I have a "little" problem. I have an application that is running on an
OpenVMS VAX machine, which now have to support XML formats using schema validation.

In your last release of Xerces package there is no direct reference to the
OpenVMS operating system and as a fact, there is no implementation of the
XMLPlatformUtils Class for it.

I have seen the DECCXX Compiler (c++ compiler for OpenVMS) was mentioned in
your documentation but is was not quite clear how to port the package to that
environment.

so...

 1) Is there Xerces package that supports OpenVMS?

 2) Do you have a DECCXX OpenVMS VAX implementation for the XMLPlatformUtils Class
(I even saw an implementation for Tandem machines!!!)?

 3) If the answers are "NO", could you please guide me, in more details other than the
package's documentation, how do I implement The Xerces package on my platform?

 4) Do you happen to know if the Xerces package was already implemented of a platform
like
mine, and give me a reference?

        Thank you.

p.s.

It know that the whole Apache environment is available (implemented and run) on Alpha
machines running OpenVMS OS, including XML package. Yet, I can't find it useful
beacuse I need it to run on a VAX machine. That is the reason I'm looking for portable
open source...
