Where can I find a description of this IDOM? It's completely passed me
by - I guess that whenever I saw the name I thought it was something to
do with COM and ignored it.

I think that any official C++ language binding should use the official
C++ language features, including namespaces, and probably standard
containers and templates if that would be useful.
