I don't think cygwin is supported by the stock Xerces distribution. Others
have put some effort into porting. Try searching the mail archives at
http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=xerces-c-dev for "cygwin".

Subject: problem compiling samples

        hi,

i m trying to compile SAX2Count.cpp (a sample that comes with)
Xerces parser, using the following command.

        C:\xerces6\samples\SAX2Count>g++ -Ic:\xerces6\include SAX2Count.cpp
                     In file included from
c:/xerces6/include/util/XercesDefs.hpp:186,
                         from c:/xerces6/include/util/PlatformUtils.hpp:65,
                     from SAX2Count.hpp:75,
                         from SAX2Count.cpp:106:
                    c:/xerces6/include/util/AutoSense.hpp:208: #error Code
requires port to host OS!

i have a Win2K OS with cygwin installed. I m running the following
from
        dos prompt.

Can some one pls tell me what is that error that i m getting.

        thx,
        Hrishikesh
