DOMString::transcode ( and XMLString::transcode() ) fails on SuSE LINUX 7.3 for non 
UTF-8 Strings

In the meantime I found out that I just should use encoding="ISO-8859-1" or 
whatever is approbriate in the XML-Message instead of "UTF-8" when there are 
characters in the Message with ASCII code higher than 127.

This solved the problem for me, I don't know if this is also the same for the 
original poster of this bug.
