1. $XERCESCROOT/src/xerces-c doesnt exist in a release&#013;&#013;2. runConfigure 
arguments dont reference current options: freebsd is missing&#013;&#013;meta note. 
this would be less annoying if the installed docs didnt go on and on and on about the 
web page being the only place with the accurate docs!
