Hi Martin,
        I think Ive got to the bottom of our confusion. Bug#11534 has been 
fixed in cvs. This caused your problem. You should just be able to patch 
your source with that 1 file. The bug was fixed in revision 1.15. That is 
why we have seen different behaviour.
