Hi Vinayak,

No, I don't think there is either a branch or a tag named xerces_c_1.
There are tags for every Xerces-C release though; you could check out
Xerces-C_1_1_0 if you liked, and get the source with which that ancient
code was built...

Maybe that would be useful in showing you how the project's layout had
changed. But if you're interested in the history of a given file, I'd use
the CVS logs: whenever someone makes a commit, this is where their
description ends up. If you're not happy with your CVS client's rendering
of logs, you can view them online here
http://cvs.apache.org/viewcvs.cgi/xml-xerces/c/

Hope that helps!
Neil

Hi Neil,

I was just trying to get the old 1.x code hoping that I will be able to see
how the project grew, what was in the initial version etc.

I was hoping it may improve my understanding of the current version of
xerces, especially the c project.

Do you think it may really be helpful ?

I got the name for this old branch from the pdf file that was in the web
sites cvs page. If it really will help me, I am guessing that I could just
change the _j_ to _c_ to get the old c project sources ?

Thanks.

Happy weekend.

-Vinayak
