I have no idea what you're referring to.  Do you mean the new DOM?  If so,
the old DOM is still there (and it returns smart-pointers by value, not by
reference).

I'm sure if you want to back-port fixes, they can be added to the
repository.  Maintaining bug fix releases for older versions would take a
