The direction of this patch looks entirely reasonable to me. But, since this is a problem specific to Visual C++ on MFC, I think we should only define these methods when Xerces is actually being compiled on such a platform. I'm sure we already have appropriate defines for this in the configure scripts; so would you mind reworking this patch so that these two methods only get compiled on relevant platforms? Thanks!
