I'm going to mark this invalid on the assumption that you're making the mistake 
that newcomers to XML often make, which is to assume XML supports the same 
entity set that HTML does.  It doesn't; XML only supports &gt; &lt; &quot; 
&apos; and &amp; all the rest of your favourite HTML entities you'll have to 
define in a DTD.  That's just how XML is.
