Dear all, I'm quite new with XML and the usage of xerces c++ api which i find extremely useful. I'm trying to create my own handler and so far it's been quite successfull. The only thing is that the documentation is sometimes not enough to understand how things can be done and sample files do not always fit to what I want. I've recently send some emails to get support in the list but unfortunatly i didn't get any answer(for some basic questions i guess). I have two solutions, either i try to continue alone or i switch to another library which could give more support.I have decided to send this mail to the list to see if there's a chance for those people like me that like to use the api to get some support.
This is not a commercial software, so there is no "support team", i.e. someone paid to read and answer to every message; this is a mailing list where people using Xerces try to help each other. So, if you post a question and don't get an answer could be because you are asking something very unusual (e.g. "I have Xerces-C++ 1.2 running on VAX...") or not giving enough informations to understand what the problem is, or asking something that needs time to be investigated, or simply your mail get lost in the mailbox of the person that could answer you (maybe he is on vacation, or working hard on this paid job).
So, if you don't get an answer in a few days, please repost it and keep these things in mind.
Hope this clarifies the picture,
Alberto
