You're right, "has a" makes a lot more sense.

I'm going to have to wait for the next point release to use
mTranscoder, but where can I find this LCP adapter?  A couple
greps didn't turn it up.

An adapter will certainly get me past my current development
issues, but that doesn't soothe the interface gap between the
high-level LCP and the low-level XML transcoders.  It would be
nice if there was a rough symmetry between the two, perhaps
transcodeFrom(char*) in LCP and transcodeFrom(XMLByte*, etc...)
in XML.  Maybe another adapter could allow the simplicity of
the LCP functions, but not be bound to a specific code page.
