Cristina,

I've replied separately, but I will reply here for the list. I believe that IBM has withdrawn the program products you mention. To my knowledge they are not available as PRPQ either. I believe that IBM makes the Xerces library available via a paid licensed program. You might explore this with IBM.

When trying to build the Xerces C++ environment on the AS/400 I ran into problems that I couldn't get resolved. I was able to install the Gmake utilies (available from the gmake web site), but there are errors when using the runConfigure script that I could not resolve. This is probably due to my limited knowledge of shell scripts.

Subject: need help on xerces for AS400

Hello,

I need to install xerces on AS400 v5r2.

I see the requierements and that i need PRPQ 5799XEH and 5799PTL.

When i try to look for 5799XEH I found this on IBM sites:

"The Qshell Utilities PRPQ (5799XEH) can be separately ordered and charged. There is only one version that can be installed on V4R2, V4R3, and V4R4.

The Qshell Utilities PRPQ are not NLS-enabled. That means the utilities only work reliably when they are used in a job that is running in CCSID 37. The messages used by the Utilities are only available in English. The Qshell Utilities PRPQ were withdrawn from marketing in January 2002.
"

????Are these tools available anymore? And how can i found them to download???

Any help is very much.

Thanks, Cristina.
