Description:
The name of the output binary is duplicated in two makefiles making it
somewhat inconvenient to change the name based on configuration. For instance,
we name libraries differently based on whether they are built with or without
debug information and we would like to incorporate this into Xerces' makefiles
for our source tree. This is a little inconvenient because the name is
duplicated in two places and it needs to be changed in both places each time.
