Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: XERCESC-1286
    Summary: Escapes memories
       Type: Bug

     Status: Unassigned
   Priority: Major

    Project: Xerces-C++
 Components:
             SAX/SAX2
   Versions:
             2.5.0
             2.6.0

   Assignee:
   Reporter: Emeric Hamon

    Created: Tue, 12 Oct 2004 7:05 AM
    Updated: Tue, 12 Oct 2004 7:05 AM
Environment: UNIX SOLARIS 32bit, C++ compiler, XERCES C++ 2.6.0 et 2.5.0

Description:
When you launch a program based on SAX parsing in background and you spy memory
allocation by prstat -U <uid>. You just have to define "startElement" and "endElement"
methods without any codes in. You can observe escapes memories. It becomes
uncomfortable on big XML documents (> 3.3Go).
