Sorry if we did not reply, I do recall this and I thought I did. It is very generous to offer this code. The main problem is that it would have to be maintained. Before we can think of accepting such a major piece of code we have to know who will be maintaining it. Will you need to do this as part of your job? If not, are you still willing to maintain it? I just talked about it wit my boss. He basically said "OK, since we must maintain it anyway,
it could be useful to do it publicly, so other people might contribute".
What should we do? Do you need some written form of agreement between us
and tha Apache foundation?
(And, best, shouldn't we start another thread on the forum :) )?
