Yep. IBM's 390 group will be doing this (unless somebody on the developer mailing list does it sooner -- are you offering?? :-)
Right now, the Xerces-C code base is just NT and Linux. Xerces-C (really C++) is based on the version 3 code base of XML4C from IBM, which hasn't been ported to 390 yet (the version 2 code base *was* ported to 390 Batch and MVS, as you might already know).
