Doesn't the basic Iconv transcoder work? I haven't eyeballed it with the Mac in mind, but it seems to be the default "native" transcoder when nothing else is available. I suppose the default Xerces transcoders wouldn't deal with MacRoman, though. (But it would be enough to get it up and running.) --Bill
