I'm all for it :-))

I think that this is a *very* good idea, that all of you agree on something
before its committed.

Subject:  A successful IRIX compile

Hi,

I am new to this mailing list but notice a number of messages in the
archives about porting to IRIX.  I have managed a clean compile by editing
the Makefiles (actually, the Makefile.incl's), IRIXPlatformUtils.cpp and
PlatformUtils.hpp (and maybe one or two other things).  Template
instantiation seems to be ok.

Since there are a number of us doing this, how about we synchronise
efforts?  I'm sure each of us has a slightly different environment so it
would pay to ensure the same changes work for everyone before they get
made official :)

Cheers,
Matthew Baker
