Please unsubsribe from this list and subscribe to xerces-c-dev. We are
trying to split the list into separate C++ and Java lists. I will post this
response on that list as well, please do any follow up there.

The answer is that the message doesn't say its bad, it says its
unsupported. The next version will have this support available, and that
functionality is in the current code base right now, just not in any
official release yet. So, to get this functionality, you will have to get
the latest code from apache and build it yourself, or you will have to wait
for the next official release (1.2.0/3.2.0) to come out.

Subject: Getting protocol not supported for a DOCTYPE declaration

Hi,

I am getting the following error on a DOCTYPE declaration:

Fatal Error at file <XML>, line 2, column 75, message <An exception
occured! Type:MalformedURLException, Message:The URL used an unsupported
protocol>

The DOCTYPE declaration in question is:

<!DOCTYPE cXML SYSTEM "http://xml.cxml.org/schemas/cXML/1.0.002/cXML.dtd";>

I don't see anything wrong with the URL. Can you help?

PS I am attaching the entire XML for your reference.(See attached file:
punchoutcreate.xml)
