this should really be moved to the xerces-c-dev list since this list is
deprecated... anyway...

1.2.0a is released now...

taken directly from the xerces-c list:
"There were two major problems reported with Xerces-C 1.2.0 that
we released on June 21, which are:

the next release will be 1.2.1.  as for the time frame, i have no idea.  if
you want significant performance enhancements, i suggest getting the latest
version from CVS or downloading one of the nightly builds from
xml.apache.org
