We encountered the problem of attributes and leaf nodes disappearing in our
documents with Xerces 1.3.1.
There seems to be a correlation to the fact that the VM is low on free
memory - even if no OutOfMemory is thrown by a Xerces class. The dom is
modified by import and replace operations and is periodically written to
file. Diffing the backups we can track that attributes and leaf nodes
disappear (we have no "removeAttribute" at all in our code).
I found nothing in bugzilla but perhaps somebody has something in mind and
maybe it's already solved in 1.4?
