FYI, I ported the Deferred DOM to Xerces2, and the feature is on by default to be backward compatible with Xerces1. Documentation has been updated as well. Let me know if you see any problems. I'm pretty confident because it didn't require any major change. The biggest difference is that instead of storing strings as StringPool indexes we now store them as Strings directly. But I did some cleanup as I went through the code so some bug may have sneaked in.
