I have noticed a lot of problems with the DOM implementation
in Xerces2 which don't get excercised because most of the tests
are driven via SAX.

Using domunit 0.0.6 (it's part of the xmlconf project at
SourceForge) I have been able to test the various fixes I just
applied as well as checking the additional function prompted
by Arun's message earlier.

However...

As I mentioned in a response to Arun's message, I have a very
serious DOM bug in the deferred case (the default DOM, btw)
that needs to be fixed before we release. I'll be looking at
it again later tonight but I will only be in the xerces.dom
package and possibly looking at the parsers.AbstractDOMParser
class. So this shouldn't interfere with your package moving
that you have planned.

I'll be online later so please contact me if you have any
problems.
