When you have a model group (sequence/choice/all), and it contains two elements of the same name and namespace, they have to have the same (global) type. When this constraint is violated, the above error is reported. So could you double check whether your schema violates this constraint (within the complex type at the reported location)? Or could you post your schema documents (attach to this bug report, to the xerces mailing list, or to me privately, whichever you prefer), so that we can better diagnose the problem.
