I tried to put my xml/dtd files in "e:\a b". The xml file refers to the dtd like this <!DOCTYPE foo SYSTEM 'foo.dtd'> The sax.Counter sample successfully found the dtd file. Now I'll have to see how you invoke the parser, especially how the base URI is established.
