it seems that there are two "standards" for dealing with data that includes an 
ampersand, &amp; and &amp;amp;.  Is there a way to set the entityRef?  While I 
have figured a work around, I could see a need to be able to change this 
setting on the fly thus why I listed it as "enhancement".
