Thanks George, for the explanation regarding the use of Symbol tables (org.apache.xerces.util.SymbolTable). Feel like a novice again after using/viewing this code base. Might I suggest a new function getComponentsByNamespace(Short type, String namespace, boolean addToSymbolTable) or at minimum a mention of the requirement that the string be in the javadoc for the original method?
