Hmm, I guess I ought subscribe to the list before I send. I've no idea if this is a
third repeat, or a first posting ('cos it wasn't moderated in). Anyway, I apologize if
there has been noise...regards

Howdy,
Does anybody here have time to help investigate this on JDK 1.5? So much relies upon this (especially since Crimson won't work on JDK 1.5) that without xerces building, nothing much builds.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Folks,
We have a gump on JDK 1.5, and have a different result there than on JDK 1.4. See these failures:
http://brutus.apache.org/gump/jdk15/xml-xerces2/xml-xerces/gump_work/build_xml-xerces2_xml-xerces.txt
on JDK 1.4 things seem to work:
http://brutus.apache.org/gump/public/xml-xerces2/xml-xerces/gump_work/build_xml-xerces2_xml-xerces.html
Does anybody with Xerces expertise have thoughts on what this might be about, and where to start debugging the problem?
Thanks in advance.
