I am using xerces -j 1.3.0. I have not tried xerces 1.3.1 yet.
Could you tell me if this issue is fixed in 1.3.0?

Sorry for the late reply.
May I know which version of Xerces are you using? The problem you mentioned
should have been solved. You might want to download a newer version (i.e.
Xerces-J 1.3.1). Or if you prefer, you can download the latest version from
CVS, which conform to Schema PR (uriReference is changed to anyURI).
