First of all, depending upon user response and our other
priorities, we are likely to deliver an improved version of this
tool several weeks after W3C advances XML Schema to Recommendation
status, after we have had time to make several additional
improvements we have in mind and handle any (presumably
minor) changes from Proposed Rec to Rec.
So if we do that, and you download that revised
version, you can use it from 90 days past that
point.
Secondly, alphaworks has a process to license
tools and libraries. You can see http://www.alphaworks.ibm.com/license
to see some information about how this works.
If you are interested, on that page,
in the right hand column on the
top, there is a link labelled "What would you like to license?".
Clicking it brings up a form and if you submit that form, it will
start the process at alphaworks of deciding whether this
particular tool should be licensed, and what kinds
of licensing terms they'd like to offer for this particular tool.
I suppose they might get back to you to figure out
what you have in mind, but I do not know the exact
process they use.
