Hi Randy,
What Xerces is doing is to keep up with the change of Schema Spec. Those
facets you mentioned (for certain data types) were removed from the spec.
So either you keep using the older version, or you have to upgrade your XML
files to conform to the latest Schema spec.
Hope this helps,

Hi,
I'm new to the list and apologize if this has been covered before.
I've been using xerces version 1.2.3 for quite a while and have an
application with an XML schema working successfully with it. I
recently tried to upgrade to a newer version (specifically 1.3.1)
but have had problems. I get errors saying that many features
aren't supported such as pattern, minLength, minInclusive, enumeration,
etc. I use these features throughout my schema definition and find
it unusual that they were supported in the old version of xerces but
not in the latest, greatest (?) version.
Am I doing something wrong? Are there alternative ways to get the
functionality of thoses features?
I'd like to move forward to newer releases but this is a major
stumbling block. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Randy
