Is crimson sneaking into the mix? Are there any other DOM implementations
on the classpath? Do you also have Xalan in the mix? There were some bad
SAX classes (AttributesImpl in org.xml.sax.helpers) in the Xalan 2.1.0
release that could cause problems (null pointer and array bounds exceptions)
if the classes were loaded in the wrong order.
When a product works one place but not another (e.g., in a test or profiling
environment), the first place I point my finger is at the classloader.
