I somehow missed the fact that i need Word 2007+.
I'm using 2003 so that's probably it ;-)

Nothing wrong. I cannot reproduce any problem if I copy/paste the above
snippets in the lists.fo sample file. See attached screenshot.

[1] Make sure that you are generating .docx (not RTF, not WordprocessingML).

[2] Make sure that you open the generated .docx in MS-Word 2007+.

[3] Make sure that your XFC has a version greater than or equals to 4.2
(2007-12-13).
